Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Devotional: Bible & Prayer.
Last updated: July 6, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
Devotional: Bible & Prayer ("Devotional") is operated by Wellspoken Labs Inc. ("Wellspoken Labs," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using Devotional, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
For iOS users, these Terms are between you and Wellspoken Labs Inc., not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for Devotional, its content, maintenance, support, warranties, claims, or intellectual property disputes, except as required by applicable law.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Devotional. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Devotional only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate account information and contact support promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. License to Use Devotional
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Devotional for personal devotional, study, and reflection purposes.
If you download Devotional from the Apple App Store, your license is also limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by Apple's usage rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you as third-party beneficiaries.
4. Devotional and AI Content
Devotional may provide Bible passages, reflections, journaling prompts, prayer tools, and AI-assisted scripture companion responses. AI-generated responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for evaluating content before relying on it.
Devotional is not a substitute for scripture, a local church, pastoral care, medical care, mental health care, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency services. For urgent needs, contact appropriate local emergency or professional resources.
5. Your Content
You may enter journal entries, prayers, prayer requests, chat messages, annotations, onboarding answers, and other content ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content, but grant us the rights needed to host, process, display, moderate, secure, and operate Devotional.
You agree not to submit User Content that:
- is illegal, abusive, harassing, hateful, or exploitative;
- violates another person's privacy or intellectual property;
- contains malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt the service;
- impersonates someone else or misrepresents your identity;
- requests, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm or violence.
6. Community and Prayer Features
If Devotional includes community prayer features, do not post private, confidential, or sensitive information about another person without permission. We may remove prayer requests, reports, or other content that violates these Terms or creates risk for users or the service.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Devotional may offer free and paid features. If paid subscriptions or in-app purchases are offered through Apple or Google, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment management are handled by the applicable app store according to its terms.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the service;
- attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls;
- use Devotional for commercial purposes without permission;
- use the service to build or train a competing product;
- violate applicable laws or third-party platform terms.
9. Privacy and Account Deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information. You can delete your account in the app or request help through support. Account deletion removes your account and associated devotional data from active systems, subject to limited retention for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and backup integrity.
10. Third-Party Services
Devotional may rely on third-party services for hosting, analytics, authentication, email, push notifications, app store billing, AI processing, and infrastructure. Your use of Devotional must comply with any applicable third-party terms, including wireless data service terms.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Devotional is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wellspoken Labs Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or service interruption arising from your use of Devotional.
12. Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, or use the service unlawfully.
